The best slopes in the heart of the 3 Valleys

Between majestic peaks and valleys, the 3 Valleys will be your boundless and varied playground: 600 kilometres of pistes, the biggest ski area in the world designed for all abilities offers both experts and beginners alike, families and sporty types a unique cumulated height differential of more than 62,000 metres. At the heart of this exceptional natural amphitheatre – Méribel in Savoie, at the gates of the Tarentaise. A resort that you absolutely must discover or rediscover.

« BACK TO THE WILD », Méribel’s wilderness adventure

Rendez-vous at the Mont de la Challe and plunge into a mountain environment where the northerly exposure guarantees you quality snow all day long. You will discover two legendary slopes in the Allues Valley, often little known to the general public and a freeride area in the middle of a natural space reminiscent of the Dolomites.

The Roc de Tougne sector has become more accessible since the installation of the eponymous chairlift but remains mainly frequented by connoisseurs… magnificent views, a sumptuous landscape with a scattering of arolla pines and a quick flip if you want to get to the Ménuiers Valley quickly from Méribel or Mottaret.

For the most experienced skiers, the Bartavelle piste is the ideal place for carving and you will be able to feast yourself on the intense thrills. A sustained and undulating slope where you can give free rein to your ski tips and your freerider’s instinct!

« Roc de Fer », the piste of champions

World famous thanks to downhill, giant slalom and slalom competitions, the Roc de Fer piste offers you the chance to ski in the tracks of the greatest competitors.

2.5 km long, it can be reached by the Legends chairlift from Méribel Centre, then the Olympic chairlift.

At the top, at an altitude of 2,294 m, a 360° view will take your breath away! You will be able to admire the Belleville Valley comprising the very discrete resort of Saint-Martin de Belleville, Les Menuires with its highest point La Masse and Europe’s highest village at 2300 m, the resort of Val Thorens.

After taking a beautiful photo from the spot specially created to immortalise your memories of holidays in Méribel, you will be able to launch yourself onto the legendary piste of the women’s Alpine skiing events of the 1992 Albertville Olympics and the world cup finals in 2015.

A jump, a wall, a plateau, bends… so many changes of relief to give you the maximum of thrills on your infernal downhill run.

Furthermore in 2023, Méribel’s  Roc de fer piste will be hosting the women’s and parallel races of the world Alpine skiing championships, while Courchevel will welcome the men’s events on its Jockeys piste. Competitions to follow …
